ECRA Member Dr. Saskia Müllmann:
„My research goal is to explore the use and acceptance of digital technologies (e.g., health apps) for prevention and health promotion.”
Digital technologies such as health apps have a great potential to improve population health. They are widely used in prevention and health promotion (e.g., to promote a physically active lifestyle) and healthcare (Digital Health Applications [DiGA]). However, little is known about factors facilitating or hindering the use of digital technologies in different population groups.
In a cross-sectional study on digitization and health (DigitHEALTH) the use and attitudes toward digital technologies in specific public health contexts (e.g., physical activity promotion, cancer prevention) are examined.
An online survey of insured adults investigates the use and acceptance of digital technologies (e.g., video counselling, DiGA) in healthcare (DigitHEALTHCARE).
